Professional Experience

Publk, Inc // CEO New York, NY 5/2008 – Present

Intern // Thinc Design & Gapminder Foundation gapminder.org, New York, NY 3/2009 – 6/2009

  • Primary duties include interaction design, software design/development, physical design
  • Develop a physical RFID-based game inspired by data visualizations of Hans Rosling of
    Gapminder Foundation
  • Game inspired by roulette
  • Dealer scans a country card containing RFID chip with RFID-reader equipped rake which triggers new question & video projection onto game table
  • Game board contains grid of RFID tags which can be scanned to reveal additional data about a
    country
  • Game is scored and projections are made onto the RFID tagged game board
  • Game played at Global Health Council conference in Washington, DC in May 2009
  • Duties also include graphic production with Photoshop and Illustrator

PC Support // Facilities & Construction Management NYU, New York, NY, 8/2008 – Present (steady pocket $ while in school)

  • Duties include data entry, website support, tech support, PC building, software development (PHP)

Database Analyst // Metis Associates, New York, NY 3/2007 – 10/2007

  • Use SQL Server to develop queries to test data quality & develop/design tables using a database of millions of cells of educational data
  • Create test plans for QA team for in-house web application development
  • Generate complex queries and processes for use in web applications
  • Prepare reports on bugs/inconsistencies & overall database quality
  • Develop quality assurance standards
